k so I just finished watching some low quality raw of Unicorn 3 (Although still pretty good quality for a 200mb file). I don't exactly understand the dialogue as it was a raw and I don't understand Moonspeak, but dang it was good. With this episode they hike up the casualty count by offing two side characters. But really if you watched these kind of anime before, you always know that character development is an instant death flag.

Hiatus recap

k so... wow I haven't posted since October. That last post was on the Red Comet preview too, wtf. Neways regarding that, Red Comet was like... 3 months ago. The next episode, The Ghost of Laplace, will be out on DVD/BD sometime next month. As usual, it's going to be all kinds of awesome, again.

Guess I'll outline what I've been doing (and not doing) in a checklist format or something:

The Red Comet - 14 Minute preview

Thank god its is release after midterms. The Full Frontal track kicks so much ass. Find the videos on Youtube for higher quality, it is worth it. Some people would probably complain about the lack of action. But Gundam has a larger focus on the dialogue which this preview shows. From this little preview we already get quite a big development in regards to the side characters.

Let us see the performance of the new Gundam indeed. (Although I'm more hyped about the Sinanju's performance.)

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: The Red Comet

So while I'm here I might as well drop off the 2nd Unicorn movie 2 trailer.

Frosh Week 1

For most of you who do know, I've moved into my rez on Monday. It's currently Frosh week with activities all day, getting assigned to a group, doing stupid stuff etc. The surprising thing was that I didn't even know we have an English exam already, and classes didn't even start yet. Although it's just a proficiency test, write a small essay and prove that you don't utterly fail at English. I guess the only exciting thing so far was getting my engineering hardhat, and exploring campus with friends. Anyhow, heading out now to write my test.

If only...

This would be like... my dream come true. Playing Senjou no Kizuna with linear cockpit monitors and wearing a normal suit. Could customize what mobile suit/mobile armour you use based on how you build your Gunpla. Too bad I can't customize Gunpla for crap. Now this brings up the question, "Seems like the Haro scanning thing can only fit a 1/144 scale Gunpla, what about 1/100 or 1/60?".

Anyhow if we never get mobile suits, this would be the next best thing. Btw if anyone is wondering, I'm assuming this is the next Gundam series that was planned after 00.

Cheap Tactics: How to wake someone up in the morning.

Step 1: Open someone's door.
Step 2: Take a song you believe to be "good".
Step 3: Put the shit on repeat on loud.
Step 4: Annoy the shit out of the sleeping victim as they roll in their bed hopelessly trying to ignore it.
Step 5: Victim is forced to wake out and drowns himself in his own music while hopelessly trying to pass out.
Step 6: Walk in like nothing happens and command the victim on what to do for the day.

Conclusion: Victim is woken up and pissed as fuck.

Honestly, I would rather prefer they just yell me up without this shit in the morning, it was bad enough that it invaded what once was my dream.

Pro laptop is pro

So today I went on a wild goose chase to get the laptop I'll be using for university.

This thing is so pro, I can now walk around in Babel Ch1 with max settings with little to no lag on MegaTen. I can also enhance lag-free. Only downside is that I have to switch from my desktop habits to laptop habits, oh well. Although it's honestly a waste to play just MegaTen on this thing, someone recommend me some hax games.

p.s. Also has built-in webcam and mic so... Skype sometime Mittens~ (Although the mic sucks, might get a headset since I don't feel like blasting JP stuff in rez.

Macross Afterstory and FailTen Update

Since I got quite a bit of monthly usage left I decided to finish watching Macross. It kind of caught me off guard at first, by episode 24-ish they were already preparing for the final battle with Bodolzaa's Zentradi fleet. Of course at first I thought, "There's still 12-ish episodes left... probably going to be lots of fights". Well to my surprise, the fight was in episode 27, it began and ended in one episode. So by then I was going "... wtf are they going to do with 10-ish episodes now?".

'k, so ever since I ditched FailTen I have nothing to do at the moment. Been trying to find some MMOs in the mean time.

Anime North 2010

So today I wasted a whole day at Toronto's anime convention known as Anime North. Basically wasted a whole day walking around with my 2 bags of 4 Gundam model kits (killed my left arm), and a red oak bokken (killed my wrist). So below is a link to my photobucket containing the gallery of cosplay pictures. As fail as my adventure at AN is, the cosplaying there was spectacular for the most part. Most of the costumes looked great and it was interesting to walk around asking for pictures. Although I was kind of disappointed with the lack of Gundam, well non-SEED. I was only able to take a picture of 1 Quattro Bageena, I also saw a Char in the 0079 uniform but I was unable to get a picture before he disappeared, oh well.

Welcome to Meguriaeru

So a while ago I suggested to some of my clannies on a game called Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE that we should create some blog to detail our misadventures and stuff. Originally I had some trash anime blog where I posted screenshots of anime episodes that I watched and made some comments on it, that didn't go too well (I mean if anyone has ever heard of the Meguriai Anime blog, then you have too much time on your hands).
